#Fix 10: Replace the Normal.dot Global Template File

  1. Close all Office programs.
  2. Type cmd into the search box.
  3. Right click on Command Prompt to run it as administrator.
  4. Type ren %userprofile%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftTemplatesOldNormal.dotm Normal.dotm and hit Enter.
  5. Wait for the command to complete and close this tool.
  6. Restart Microsoft Word.
