• 2009-6-10  I have a Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000 running on 10.5.7. In the regular version of Macam the colors were wrong and the image flashed a lot, but the current CVS build 0.9.2 (+3) corrected this problem. The audio works just fine on my Mac Mini, but it must be selected in System Preferences for some applications to use it.
• I was struggling with my Microsoft Lifecam Studio webcam because it was not working properly. I have a Retina MacBook Pro 15″ (late 2013) and I test the camera with the PhotoBooth app on Mavericks. All I was able to see was a super burned white-colored image.
• 2020-3-19  Lifecam Studio on Mac My mac detects the Studio with no problem and it works in photobooth and skype but I'm wondering if someone knows of a program to download to play with the picture options as I'm not satisfied with the color out of box and the windows driver is not available to mac.

After researching online for solutions I came across this program on the App store that costs USD 8. I must say, it was worth it, because from the moment I installed it, the problem was solved. Now I am able to use my camera without any troubles.

Its a little bit strange that Apple doesn’t support this camera which costs around USD 80 (Its not a cheap one) and the idea of having another App always running just make something I think should be supported by OS X bothers me a little bit. But well, I guess this is part of the Apple vs Microsoft war, at least I don’t have to purchase another webcam now.

Tip: I had to change one configuration in the Advanced tab of the program settings. I had to select the 50Hz option to eliminate the flickering I was having with 60 Hz.
